Our boats, the Legends and the Kite Adventure, with their ten cabins each, are a hotel and a floating kite/wing station in one. The difference: the Legends stays overnight at the wing/kite spot in Soma Bay, while the Kite Adventure is at the spot every day from around 9 am to 4 pm and anchors overnight in the marina. The marina is located right next to the Tornado Surf Center on a hotel beach. When staying overnight in the marina, you have the opportunity to explore the area around Safaga in the evening. If you stay overnight on the Legends, the spot is all yours during the sunset or sunrise sessions. The boats hardly rock at either anchorage as they are moored in a bay. If spending the night on the boat is still not your thing, you can stay in one of the neighbouring hotelsand choose the Kite Adventure for a kitesurfing/wingfoiling day trip. Depending on where your accommodation is located, you can either board at the Tornado Surf Center or via the Zodiac pick-up service.

Stay overnight on our hotel boat "Legends" directly in Soma Bay at one of the best kite and wing spots. Enjoy 24 hours of pure sea every day! Be the first on the water and spend the maximum holiday time doing water sports – from sunrise to sunset. What awaits you:

- The boat is specially designed for water sports: Racks for kiteboards and kites/wings, compressor, rescue Zodiac, launch/landing platform

The whole spot is yours when the daily boat Kite Adventure leaves our spot between 4 and 5 pm and heads back to the center. Feel free to continue kitesurfing or wingfoiling until sunset.

Our chef serves dinner either as a platter service or in the form of a buffet. Review the day with the other guests or watch the starry sky on the sun deck.

Hotel boat "Kite Adventure"

The Kite Adventure hotel boat is your choice if you only want to go to the spot with us as a day trip or if you would like to explore the mainland in the evening. We use this boat to return to the marina at the Tornado Surf Center at around 4 pm. During the day, it anchors at the spot in Soma Bay next to the Legends. What you can expect:
- Plenty of space to relax spread over four decks and a length of 30m and a width of 8m
- The boat is specially designed for water sports, e.g. with holders for boards/foils, racks for kites/wings, compressor, rescue zodiac, launch/landing platform
- Cabins with private bathroom including shower (hot/cold fresh water) and WC, storage space, 2-pin sockets and a fan
- Bean bags, hammocks and sun loungers or snorkelling equipment and stand-up paddleboards for the active ones
- Spacious salon with tables and bar
- 230V solar power – no generator noise
- Wifi via 4G

Departure from the Tornado Surf Center
Every day we take you from the center to the kite and wing spot in Soma Bay. The half-hour drive takes you along the coast – with a bit of luck you might even spot dolphins.

Downwinder
If the wind is good in the late afternoon, you can make the five-kilometre trip back to the centre as a downwinder. Enjoy this end to the day along the coast accompanied by boat.

Return trip
No downwinder or have you already spent enough time on the water? Then it's "aperitif time", "beer-o'clock" or just time for a cool drink: Because now we'll take a leisurely drive back to the Tornado Surf Center. In the meantime, you can chat about the day's experiences at the large table or simply stretch your tired legs on the sun deck.

Our chef serves dinner either as a platter service or in the form of a buffet. From time to time we also go out together to one of the nearby restaurants or to a BBQ event.

Would you like to kitesurf or wingfoil with us, but prefer a different type of accommodation? No problem. We organize the transfer if you don't spend the night in the vicinity of the center. The hotels in Soma Bay are served with our Zodiac service. Here you will find the exact coordinates where we will pick you up:

Spot description
Soma Bay not only offers a lot of wind and warm temperatures all year round but it is also one of the most beautiful kite spots on the Red Sea. The area is suitable for all skill levels: beginners will find ideal conditions for learning in the approx. 2 km² large lagoon, which is mostly knee to waist deep. Advanced riders, whether freeriders or freestylers, can enjoy endless space in the turquoise waters of Soma Bay, regardless of the tides. The surface is mostly flat to choppy. In the morning, the wind usually starts off-shore from the north-west – often around 5 to 10 knots stronger than the wind forecast predicts. At noon the wind turns to "sideshore" from the north. Depending on the time of year, the wind slowly dies down in the afternoon, but can also blow through until just before sunset.
